Support Our
Project
Supporting a company of young artists traveling from the U.S. to the U.K is not inexpensive. We are working to raise $50,000 to support the development of two classes – one dance, one theatre –from which a piece will be created to explore the life of Martha Graham, named the dancer of the 20th century. She was a pioneer feminist, though she would never have described herself that way. She was all about the art – but what she created was very much in line with the ideals of women’s freedom and growth.
In August of 2024, we will bring our Spring Term company back together to travel to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, where they will perform the piece as a part of the world’s largest arts festival.
At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, they will not only have the opportunity to perform, but also to experience art, music, dance and theatre created by some of the best artists from all around the world.
To better the institution and further inspire alumni participation, Alma College Trustee Kim Taylor '83, in addition to making a very generous lead gift, has offered to match all gifts from first-time donors or young alumni (graduates of 2013 through 2023) up to $10,000.
With Ms. Taylor doubing your donation, we can make our goal. You can donate here:
